Hello fellow followers, how have you been? Sorry for the delay but I have been enjoying my vacations! Without further delay, today’s topic is the influence of music in the Human Rights.
In 2009, an organization called “Musicians for Human Rights” as been founded, in Rome.
Alessio Allegrini (horn player), the founder of this organization, and a group of fellow musicians and humanists, actively efforts to leave their mark on four continents. The founders have their roots mostly in classical music and include some of the finest musicians of the world.
The project consists of a series of meetings between musicians, teachers and students, in which a specific theme concerning human rights will be tackled. Their goals are:

to spread human rights culture
2.
to spread the understanding that the practice of music can be a means for civil and social growth, as well an efficient tool for the assertion and defence of human rights
3.
to create an orchestra modelled on the Human Rights Orchestra

Now talking a little bit about the founder, Alessio Allegrini has performed as solo and principal horn with virtually all of the world’s leading conductors, including Claudio Abbado, Simon Rattle, Mariss Jansons, Riccardo Muti, Myung-Whun Chung, Bernard Haitink, and Daniel Barenboim. He is the winner of prizes in both the Prague Spring International Competition and the Munich International Competition. Mr. Allegrini is an International Visiting Professor at the Royal Academy in London and holds masterclasses in Europe, South America and Japan.
